Nuance Announces Acquisition for Sierra Ventures’ Portfolio Company TouchCommerce for $215M

Sierra Ventures congratulates President and CEO Bernard Louvat and the TouchCommerce team on the acquisition.

This action positions Nuance’s Enterprise business favorably in a rapidly growing market where customer satisfaction requires holistic engagement by combining intelligent self-service multi-channel solutions with assisted service, which TouchCommerce delivers.

Founded in 1999, TouchCommerce is the established leader in digital customer engagement. TouchCommerce’s solution expands the Nuance’s Enterprises business with best-of-breed self-service and assisted-service solutions, by merging live chant, self-service guides and data-driven personalization.

Additionally, TouchCommerce’s strong customer relationships add healthy revenue streams and business growth. TouchCommerce has established relationships with customer-centric companies such as AT&T, Citizens Bank, DirectTV, Dixons, eHarmony, Panasonic, Telefonica and T-Mobile.

The transaction has been approved by both companies’ boards, and is expected to close September 30, 2016 for $215 million. Read press release here.

Allie has a background in business and marketing strategy, working with early-stage startups, agencies, venture firms, nonprofits, and political campaigns. Her experience includes forming and running a nonprofit, working as VP of Marketing at a Blockchain company, working in the Entertainment Industry, and managing Fortune 500 business accounts in the gaming and entertainment space. Allie holds a BA in Communication Studies from UCLA and is also a certified Yoga and Meditation teacher. Outside of work she enjoys traveling, hiking, cooking, and reading.
