RedLock Uncovers Cryptojacking

Varun Badhwar, CEO and co-founder of RedLock, a Sierra investment and Cloud Threat Defense startup, talks about the complications and vulnerabilities surrounding cryptocurrency transactions on CNBC.

RedLock discovered that an unidentified hacker broke into a Tesla-owned Amazon account and used it to “mine” cryptocurrency as well as expose proprietary data. This hijacking is called cryptojacking, and the incident is one of several involving public cloud services including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Read more from Fortune.
