Sierra Ventures Backs K4Connect to Empower Senior and Disabled Living

K4Connect
Sierra Ventures is pleased to invest in K4Connect’s $1.9M Seed Funding Round. K4Connect is an integration technology company that transforms senior living facilities into smart homes that are responsive to residents’ needs. Their patent-pending platform unites disparate technologies and provides actionable data and analytics so caregivers can improve the quality of their care.

The senior market is expected to double in the next 15 years and K4Connect’s CEO F. Scott Moody aims to make their lives simpler and healthier.

“K4Connect’s first product is bridging the gap between smart technologies and the 43 million seniors living in the United States. The company’s focus on improving quality of life for seniors will be essential as our population ages,” said Ben Yu, Managing Director of Sierra Ventures.

Sierra invested in Moody previously when he co-founded, AuthenTec, the fingerprint sensor technology company that is the foundation for Apple’s Touch ID. Other investors in this seed round included Better Ventures, Lowe’s Companies, Inc., and Stonehenge Growth Equity Partners.
